Parking Fines at Morrison's in Swadlincote

On 4th February 2010 the Burton Mail published a story in which a lady was issued a parking fine from Parking Eye for overstaying the 3 hour parking limit at Morrison's supermarket in Coppice Side.

She disputes the time she stayed in the car park and claims that she did return to the store when she realised that she had failed to purchase an item,  She claims that since then, signs have been erected stating that you are not allowed to return within 3 hours,

A Morrison's spokesman was reported as saying that the customer had parked for over 4 hours.  The customer claims that for some reason their automated system did not pick her car up leaving on the first occasion.

In our opinion, the only way that such a dispute could be proven would be if Parking Eye had CCTV footage of the car parked in the space for the full period that the car was parked.
